Chelsea Too Strong for Everton

Everton’s trip to west London ended in frustration as they were beaten 2–0 by title contenders Chelsea on Matchday 16 of the Premier League. Vitaliy Mykolenko completed the full 90 minutes for the Toffees, but neither his efforts nor those of his teammates were enough to prevent defeat at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea wasted little time in asserting their dominance and effectively decided the contest before half-time. Cole Palmer opened the scoring with a composed finish, before Malo Gusto doubled the advantage, leaving Jordan Pickford with no chance on either occasion.
Everton attempted to respond after the break, but the damage had already been done. Chelsea managed the game with authority, controlling possession and limiting the visitors to only fleeting moments of threat.
The victory keeps Chelsea firmly in fourth place in the Premier League table, maintaining pressure at the top and leaving them five points behind leaders Arsenal.
