PSG - Rennes 5:0

Paris Saint-Germain finally found top gear after a difficult start to the season, dismantling Rennes 5–0 and reducing the gap to Lens to just a single point. Early on, PSG had to weather a few dangerous moments, with Russian goalkeeper Matvei Safonov making a key save to prevent the hosts from conceding first. Seconds later, the breakthrough arrived — a thunderous 20-metre strike from Khvicha Kvaratskhelia set the tone for a dominant night in Paris.

From that moment, PSG only tightened their grip on the match. Ilyes Housni Mayulu, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Bradley Barcola all converted their chances as Rennes’ defensive structure crumbled. Kvaratskhelia capitalised on further defensive errors to complete his brace, showcasing the ruthlessness of PSG’s attacking unit.

Late goals from Baye M’Baye and Gonçalo Ramos sealed the emphatic 5–0 win, leaving Rennes stunned and ending their run of five positive results. Despite showing character in the first half, the visitors had no answer to PSG’s relentless pressure.
