Newcastle - Tottenham 2:2

Cristian Romero delivered one of the moments of the Premier League weekend, rescuing Tottenham with an extraordinary stoppage-time overhead kick to seal a 2–2 draw at St James’ Park.

Spurs twice trailed and looked destined for a third straight defeat after Bruno Guimarães blasted Newcastle ahead in the 71st minute. But Romero turned the match into his personal highlight reel.

The Argentine centre-back first leveled the game with a towering header, only for Anthony Gordon to restore Newcastle’s lead from the penalty spot. Yet Romero refused to let Spurs leave empty-handed. Deep into added time, he acrobatically met a loose ball and smashed home a spectacular overhead finish, stunning the home crowd and salvaging a vital point.
