Manchester United Reportedly Reach Agreement with João Gomes

Manchester United are closing in on confirming their first signing of the winter window, having made significant progress in negotiations for Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder João Gomes. The deal is expected to be worth around £50 million.
According to TEAMtalk, the player has already “given the green light” for a move to Old Trafford. While Wolves are reluctant to part with such a key figure as they look to rescue their season, United have reportedly already secured the midfielder’s approval.
Should Wolverhampton accept that survival is out of reach by the time the January transfer window opens, they are likely to proceed with the sale. The potential fee is estimated to be in the region of £40–50 million.
This move would strengthen United’s midfield options significantly, with Gomes seen as a long-term solution to their engine room concerns.
