Brentford - Liverpool 3:2

Liverpool’s Premier League woes deepened as they fell to a fourth consecutive defeat, losing 3–2 to Brentford in a dramatic clash at the Gtech Community Stadium.

The hosts made a flying start, taking the lead in just the fifth minute when Michael Kayode’s precise cross was met by Dango Ouattara, who powered the ball past Alisson Becker to put Brentford ahead.

There was concern for the Bees shortly after, as Ukrainian international Yegor Yarmolyuk was forced off with an injury in the 29th minute. Despite that setback, Kevin Schade doubled Brentford’s advantage right before half-time with a well-taken finish.

Milos Kerkez gave Liverpool hope before the break, pulling one back to make it 2–1, but the visitors’ comeback was halted on the hour mark. After a VAR review, a penalty was awarded to Brentford, and Igor Thiago made no mistake from the spot, restoring a two-goal cushion.

Mohamed Salah struck late to set up a tense finale, yet Liverpool couldn’t find the equaliser and slipped to another frustrating defeat. The result leaves Liverpool sixth in the Premier League table, while Brentford move up to tenth — a well-deserved reward for a spirited performance.
