Tottenham - Aston Villa 1:2

Aston Villa continued their fine run of form with a dramatic 2–1 comeback win over Tottenham Hotspur in North London, powered by two spectacular long-range strikes from Morgan Rogers and Emiliano Buendía.

The match started brightly for the hosts as Rodrigo Bentancur gave Spurs an early lead, raising hopes of a move into second place in the Premier League table. But Unai Emery’s side had other plans.

Rogers unleashed a thunderous effort from outside the box to level the score, and Buendía followed it up with a curling winner that left the Tottenham defence and goalkeeper rooted.

It’s now three wins on the bounce for Villa, who are building serious momentum and have climbed back into the top 10 of the 2025–26 Premier League standings.
