Aston Villa - Burnley 2:1

After a disappointing start to the 2025–26 Premier League season, Aston Villa are finally showing signs of life — securing their second consecutive win with a solid 2–0 victory over Burnley at Villa Park.

The star of the afternoon was Donyell Malen, who struck twice to lift the mood in Birmingham. The Dutch forward opened the scoring in the 25th minute, gliding past Burnley’s defence before coolly finishing a one-on-one. He doubled his tally in the second half, latching onto a perfectly timed through ball from Morgan Rogers and firing past the keeper with confidence.

With the three points, Unai Emery’s side climb to 13th in the Premier League standings — a much-needed boost after their early-season struggles.
