It was a professional and polished performance

Manchester United marked Rúben Amorim’s 50th match in charge with a calm and confident 2–0 win over Sunderland at Old Trafford — and, for once, it wasn’t a rollercoaster ride.

The Portuguese manager recently admitted that coaching United often feels like “an adrenaline-fueled theme park.” But his players made sure this landmark evening was anything but stressful.

Mason Mount opened the scoring inside just eight minutes, capitalising on United’s early dominance. The lead was doubled in the 31st minute as Benjamin Šeško found the net for the second consecutive game — and for the first time at Old Trafford, sending the home fans into celebration mode.

The Red Devils controlled proceedings from start to finish, never allowing Sunderland a way back into the game. It was a professional and polished performance — one that gave Amorim the perfect way to celebrate his milestone match.
