Brentford - Manchester United 3:1

Manchester United suffered yet another humiliating defeat as pressure continues to mount on manager Rúben Amorim. The Red Devils were beaten 3–1 away at Brentford — marking one of the club’s worst starts to a season in recent history.

Ukrainian midfielder Yehor Yarmolyuk was central to Brentford’s impressive performance, playing the full 90 minutes and contributing to two of their three goals.

By the 20th minute, Brentford were already 2–0 up. The opener came via Igor Thiago, who smashed the ball into the top corner after beating the offside trap. Minutes later, Yarmolyuk picked out Thiago again with a precise long ball. Thiago laid it off to Schade, whose shot was saved, but the Brazilian striker was quickest to react and bagged his second of the evening.

Benjamin Šeško pulled one back for United before half-time, but the comeback stalled. Bruno Fernandes missed a golden opportunity to equalise, failing to convert a penalty in the second half.

As United pressed forward, Brentford struck again in stoppage time. Yarmolyuk initiated the counterattack, charging through midfield before laying the ball off to Mathias Jensen, who curled a stunning strike into the top corner to seal the win.

The final whistle was met with chants from the Brentford supporters: “You’re getting sacked in the morning!” — a clear message to under-fire United boss.
