The wait is over. At a glittering ceremony in Paris, Ousmane Dembélé has been crowned the winner of the 2025 Ballon d'Or, cementing his place among football's elite.

The Paris Saint-Germain winger played a pivotal role in what has become a dream season for the French giants — lifting the UEFA Champions League for the first time in club history and sweeping all domestic titles in France. His pace, creativity, and clutch performances made him an undeniable choice for football’s most prestigious individual accolade.

Dembélé becomes only the sixth French player to win the Ballon d'Or, joining an illustrious list that includes Raymond Kopa, Michel Platini, Jean-Pierre Papin, Zinédine Zidane, and Karim Benzema.

Meanwhile, Paris Saint-Germain head coach Luis Enrique took home the Johan Cruyff Trophy for Coach of the Year, following a season of tactical brilliance and trophy-laden dominance.

Gianluigi Donnarumma, now at Manchester City after his time at PSG, was awarded the Lev Yashin Trophy as the world's best goalkeeper — a nod to his consistency and big-game heroics throughout the campaign.

There was also recognition for goal-machine Viktor Gyökeres, who earned the Gerd Müller Trophy after netting an astonishing 63 goals across all competitions — 54 for his club and 9 with the Swedish national team.

Paris Saint-Germain Named Team of the Year

As if individual accolades weren’t enough, Paris Saint-Germain also walked away with the Team of the Year award. With a treble-winning season that finally brought European glory to the French capital, their dominance was never in question.
