Karim Adeyemi Fires Borussia Dortmund Past Wolfsburg
Borussia Dortmund kept their unbeaten run alive and stayed within touching distance of leaders Bayern Munich with a hard-fought 1-0 victory over VfL Wolfsburg in Matchday 5 of the Bundesliga.
The only goal of the match came in the 20th minute, when Karim Adeyemi opened his account for the season. The German winger latched onto a pass from Julian Ryerson, cut inside on his left foot, and rifled a stunning strike into the far corner — his first goal in the current Bundesliga campaign.
Wolfsburg came close to an equaliser in the second half when Koulierakis rattled the crossbar, but the ball bounced down and stayed out — no goal-line technology needed.
