Official: Borussia Mönchengladbach Sack Head Coach
Bundesliga club Borussia Mönchengladbach have officially parted ways with head coach Gerardo Seoane, making him the second managerial casualty of the season — and the campaign has barely begun.
The announcement comes just days before Gladbach's upcoming clash with Bayer Leverkusen, scheduled for Sunday, September 21. Club officials reportedly opted not to wait for the result of that match, signalling a clear change in direction after a dismal run of form.
Seoane, who previously managed Bayer Leverkusen, failed to deliver results at Borussia Park. Under his leadership, Gladbach went winless in their last 10 Bundesliga matches, a streak that ultimately sealed his fate. After three rounds of the 2025/26 season, the team has managed just one point and currently sits 16th in the league table — firmly in relegation playoff territory.
This decision follows the earlier sacking of Erik ten Hag by Bayer Leverkusen, marking a turbulent start to the Bundesliga season for high-profile managers.
