The reigning undisputed heavyweight world champion from Ukraine, is no longer considered the world’s No.1

Oleksandr Usyk, the reigning undisputed heavyweight world champion from Ukraine, is no longer considered the world’s No.1 pound-for-pound boxer — at least according to the latest rankings released by The Ring Magazine.

Usyk had held the top position since his first victory over Tyson Fury, maintaining that status for nearly 18 months. However, a stunning performance by American superstar Terence Crawford has shifted the balance at the top of the boxing world.

Crawford surged to the No.1 spot after a dominant win over Mexican icon Canelo Álvarez, in which he captured all four major titles in their division. As a result of the loss, Álvarez dropped to 10th place in the global top 10 — his lowest position in years.

The current pound-for-pound rankings from The Ring now stand as follows:

 1. (3) Terence Crawford (USA) 2. (1) Oleksandr Usyk (Ukraine) 3. (2) Naoya Inoue (Japan) 4. (4) Dmitry Bivol (Russia) 5. (5) Artur Beterbiev (Russia) 6. (6) Jesse "Bam" Rodriguez (USA) 7. (7) Junto Nakatani (Japan) 8. (9) Shakur Stevenson (USA) 9. (10) David Benavidez (USA) 10. (8) Saúl "Canelo" Álvarez (Mexico)
