Marseille - Lorient 4:0

Olympique Marseille bounced back in style with a commanding 4–0 win over FC Lorient at the Stade Vélodrome, sealing their first victory of the Ligue 1 season under new head coach Roberto De Zerbi.

The match turned dramatically just 10 minutes in, when Lorient were reduced to ten men following a straight red card. Mason Greenwood made no mistake from the spot to open the scoring, confidently dispatching the penalty.

Shortly after, it was time for a debut goal — Benjamin Pavard, recently signed from Inter Milan, marked his first appearance with a powerful header from a corner, doubling Marseille’s lead.

Angel Gomes added a third before half-time, finishing off a sweeping move to put the hosts in complete control. In the second half, another debutant, Nayef Aguerd, got on the scoresheet to complete the rout with a close-range finish.
