Nottingham Forest have moved quickly to fill their managerial vacancy by appointing Ange Postecoglou as their new head coach. The Australian has signed a contract running until 2027, marking a fresh chapter for the East Midlands club following the shock departure of Nuno Espírito Santo.
Postecoglou arrives just 24 hours after Forest parted ways with Nuno, who was dismissed following internal tensions with sporting director Edu. Despite leading the club to European qualification last season, Nuno’s falling-out with the club hierarchy proved irreparable.
Postecoglou Back in the Premier League
The 59-year-old returns to the Premier League after a turbulent spell at Tottenham Hotspur. While Postecoglou delivered Europa League success for Spurs last season, a disappointing 15th-place finish in the league led to his departure — a decision that drew criticism from some quarters, given the club’s European triumph.
