Erik ten Hag Sacked by Bayer Leverkusen
Bayer Leverkusen have dismissed head coach Erik ten Hag just two games into the Bundesliga season, according to trusted transfer insider Fabrizio Romano.
The Dutch manager was appointed in late May following the departure of Xabi Alonso, but his time in Germany has come to a swift and unexpected end. Leverkusen have taken just one point from their opening two matches, and the club's hierarchy saw no signs of immediate improvement.
Ten Hag arrived with high expectations, having previously enjoyed success at Ajax — where he won multiple Eredivisie titles and was named Dutch Coach of the Year three times. His tenure at Manchester United was more turbulent: while he guided the Red Devils to the Carabao Cup and FA Cup trophies, his authoritarian approach eventually wore thin, and poor form led to his dismissal.
