The early list reportedly includes two names

Since the end of the legendary Sir Alex Ferguson era, Manchester United have struggled to find a manager capable of restoring the club’s former glory. From David Moyes to José Mourinho and Ole Gunnar Solskjær, the revolving door at Old Trafford has continued — and most recently, even Erik ten Hag couldn’t deliver the consistency fans hoped for.

Now, with results under Rúben Amorim falling short of expectations, reports suggest that the United board is once again considering a change in leadership. According to Caught Offside, the club already has a shortlist of potential successors.

The early list reportedly includes two names: Oliver Glasner, currently managing Crystal Palace, and Andoni Iraola of AFC Bournemouth. Among the two, Glasner is believed to be the frontrunner, with multiple sources suggesting he’s viewed as the most suitable fit for United’s long-term vision by key decision-makers at the club.

Glasner, who famously guided Eintracht Frankfurt to UEFA Europa League success in 2022, is highly regarded for his tactical discipline and player development. Iraola, meanwhile, has impressed many with his high-intensity style and overachievement with a modest Bournemouth squad.
