The countdown to the new Bundesliga season has officially begun

The countdown to the new Bundesliga season has officially begun. The 2025/26 fixture list was released today, and the campaign kicks off with a heavyweight clash between reigning champions Bayern Munich and challengers RB Leipzig.

The season opener will take place on Friday, August 22, 2025, with kick-off set for 20:30 CET at the iconic Allianz Arena in Munich. The remaining nine Matchday 1 fixtures will be played across the weekend, on August 23 and 24.

The winter break in the German top flight is scheduled from December 22 to January 9, while the season will wrap up on Saturday, May 16, 2026, with all teams in action on the final matchday.
