Coppa Italia

Tonight, Italian football will crown its cup champion as AC Milan and Bologna clash in the final of the Coppa Italia at the iconic Stadio Olimpico in Rome. Kick-off is scheduled for 21:00 CET.

While both sides are mid-table in the current Serie A standings, the Coppa Italia represents much more than silverware — it's their only realistic route into European competition next season.

AC Milan boast a richer history in the tournament, with five cup titles to their name, though the last came back in 2003. For Bologna, this final is a rare opportunity — the club has only won the Coppa Italia twice, most recently in 1974.

The Rossoneri booked their place in the final by defeating city rivals Inter Milan in the semi-final, while Bologna saw off Empoli to reach their first final in decades.
