AC Milan failed to build on the momentum of their derby triumph, suffering their third defeat in four Europa League matches after being beaten at home by Ferencváros. The Hungarian side secured a convincing victory, with Joseph scoring twice in the second half to punish the Rossoneri.

The visitors were dangerous throughout the first half, creating chance after chance. Milan, however, stayed in the game thanks to goalkeeper Torriani, whose saves repeatedly denied Ferencváros before the break.

The breakthrough arrived in the 52nd minute — and it came courtesy of a costly mistake. Torriani made a dreadful error with a pass out from the back, effectively gifting the visitors their opening goal.

Ferencváros doubled their advantage in the 66th minute, finishing off a textbook counter-attack to leave Milan with a mountain to climb. The Rossoneri tried to respond, but neither the substitutions made by Ruben Amorim nor Yusuf's dismissal in the 77th minute changed the course of the match.
