The second half, in sharp contrast, produced no goals at all

Union Berlin and VfB Stuttgart delivered a jaw-dropping spectacle on Saturday, playing out a dramatic 4-4 draw in a match that will go down in Bundesliga history.

All eight goals were scored in the first half—setting a new league record for the most goals in a single half of football. Fans at the Stadion An der Alten Försterei were treated to 45 minutes of pure attacking madness, with both defences torn apart in an end-to-end blitz that few could have predicted.

The second half, in sharp contrast, produced no goals at all, leaving both sides to settle for a point in a match that felt like a rollercoaster ride packed into just one half of football.

The result sees Stuttgart maintain their push for European qualification, while Union Berlin continue to scrap for mid-table stability in an increasingly competitive league campaign.
