Lionel Messi

Lionel Messi has opened up about his struggles during his two-year spell at Paris Saint-Germain, admitting he was “unhappy on a daily basis.”

In an interview with Zane Lowe for Apple Music, Messi reflected on his time in Paris, stating: “I wasn’t happy with my daily routine, training sessions, or matches. It was difficult for me to adapt to everything. I felt like I needed a change. The move to Inter Miami happened because it’s a growing club, a completely new project.”

“I liked the idea of coming here and helping the club grow, and I also knew that this was a city where my family and I would feel comfortable,” Messi added.

The World Cup winner also commented on the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup and the role of the MLS: “It’s a big moment for the club, especially as they are set to compete in the Club World Cup for the first time. It’s also great for the MLS to have two teams participating in such a prestigious tournament.”
