Manuel Neuer Signs New Contract with Bayern Munich
Manuel Neuer has extended his contract with Bayern Munich, keeping him at the club until June 30, 2026. The new deal ensures that the 36-year-old goalkeeper will continue at the German giants for his 15th season.
Neuer expressed his excitement, saying: "I really enjoy playing football, and I want to remain a player for Bayern Munich. I’m still hungry and look forward to another year with this special club. We still have many goals to achieve together."
Neuer joined Bayern Munich from Schalke in the summer of 2011 and has served as the club’s captain since 2017. Over his illustrious career, he has won the Bundesliga 11 times and twice completed the treble (winning the Bundesliga, DFB Cup, and UEFA Champions League) in 2013 and 2020. Additionally, he has helped Bayern win the FIFA Club World Cup and UEFA Super Cup in both of those years. In total, he has made 547 official appearances for the club.
Neuer has been named the best goalkeeper in the world five times by the IFFHS, was named the best goalkeeper of the decade (2011–2020), and has twice been crowned FIFA's Best Men's Goalkeeper. He has also been named Germany’s Footballer of the Year twice.
