Olympique Marseille

Former France international Adil Rami has weighed in on the speculation surrounding Paul Pogba and his potential move to Olympique Marseille, calling it an excellent decision for both the player and the club.

Last week, Juventus confirmed they had terminated Pogba's contract, leaving the 30-year-old midfielder free to join a new club in January. Reports now link the 2018 World Cup winner with a return to Ligue 1, with Marseille touted as a likely destination.

“Rumors are swirling that Pogba is on his way to Marseille,” Rami told reporters. “If it’s true, I’m thrilled. This team could use a bit more character, and Marseille is a very, very, very good choice. I truly hope this transfer happens.”

A Tumultuous Journey in Turin

Pogba returned to Juventus in 2022 after a six-year stint with Manchester United, but his second spell in Turin was far from ideal. A string of injuries kept him sidelined for most of the season, and off-field controversies further marred his time with the club.

Now, as a free agent, the Frenchman has an opportunity to rejuvenate his career, and Rami believes Marseille could provide the perfect platform. Known for its passionate fanbase and intense atmosphere at the Stade Vélodrome, the club could offer Pogba a fresh start and a chance to rediscover his best form.
