Inter Miami sensationally lost to Atlanta United

Inter Miami lost to Atlanta United in the final match of the first round of the MLS Cup and ended their playoff run.

The goals of Lionel Messi and Matias Rojas were not enough for Inter's success - a double by Senegalese striker Jamal Tiare in the first half, as well as a goal by Bartosz Slisz in the 76th minute secured Atlanta's passage to the semi-finals of the Eastern Conference, where they will face Orlando City in the next round.

Inter Miami became the best team of the MLS season and also set a record for points in the regular season. As for Lionel Messi, the Argentine finished the season with 23 goals scored in 30 matches.
