Inter Miami has set a new MLS record for the most points earned in a regular season, surpassing New England Revolution's 73-point record from the 2021 season. The Revs didn’t let go of their record easily, arriving in Miami with a determination to defend their place in the history books.

Despite a brace from Luis Suárez, the score was tied 2-2 by the 50th minute. That’s when Inter Miami brought on Lionel Messi. The Argentine star made an immediate impact, scoring his first MLS hat-trick (and his second in a week) and providing an assist.

Inter Miami blew past the former record holders with a dominant 6-2 victory, reaching 74 points and securing their place in the record books.
