Leipzig continues its steady march at the start of the German championship. In the seventh round of the Bundesliga they defeated Mainz - 2:0.

The guests secured the result in the first half. In the 20th minute, Javi Simons dealt with the Mainz defence and shot past the hosts' goalkeeper. Just over a quarter of an hour later, Willy Orban successfully played on the rebound and doubled Leipzig's lead.
