Polish tennis player Iga Swiatek triumphed at the US Open for the first time in her career. In the final match of the tournament, she defeated the representative of Tunisia, Ons Jaber, with a score of 6:2, 7:6 (7:5).

For winning the final, Swiatek will receive $2.6 million in prize money and earn 2,000 ranking points.

For Swiatek the 2022 US Open final was the tenth consecutive final in which a Polish tennis player won. In total, the athlete has 10 WTA trophies to her credit.
