Cristiano Ronaldo delivered the perfect response to his critics following the recent controversy surrounding the Portugal national team, helping Al-Nassr secure a convincing 3-0 victory over Al-Diraiyah in the eighth round of the Saudi Pro League.

The home fans showed their support for the club captain with a special tribute in the stands, and the Portuguese superstar repaid their faith on the pitch. Ronaldo opened the scoring in the 23rd minute, reacting quickest to the rebound after Kingsley Coman's initial effort to give Al-Nassr an early advantage.

Samu Costa doubled the hosts' lead with a well-taken header from a pinpoint assist by João Félix, before Coman put the result beyond doubt to complete a commanding 3-0 win.

The victory lifted Al-Nassr to second place in the Saudi Pro League standings with 19 points, underlining their growing momentum in the title race. Al-Qadsiah have accumulated the same number of points, leaving the battle near the top of the table finely poised.
