Roberto Mancini has officially been unveiled as the new head coach of the Italy national team, with the Italian Football Federation (FIGC) confirming his return during a press conference led by federation president Giovanni Malagò. At the same event, Claudio Ranieri was announced as the federation's new Technical Director.

Explaining the decisions, Malagò revealed that Mancini was selected after careful consideration, while Ranieri has been chosen to replace Paolo Maldini in the technical leadership role. According to the FIGC president, Ranieri signed his contract just moments before the announcement and is expected to appear alongside Mancini at an official press conference scheduled for tomorrow.

The appointment marks a homecoming for Roberto Mancini, who previously guided Italy to glory at UEFA Euro 2020, restoring the Azzurri to the summit of European football with an unforgettable triumph at Wembley.

Meanwhile, Claudio Ranieri brings decades of managerial experience to his new executive role. The veteran coach enjoyed successful spells with several leading Italian clubs, with AS Roma being the final team of his coaching career before stepping into football administration.
