Zinedine Zidane has officially been unveiled as the new head coach of the France national team, with the French Football Federation (FFF) confirming the appointment. The legendary former midfielder has signed a contract that will keep him in charge until 2030, marking one of the most anticipated managerial appointments in international football.

Zidane will officially begin his duties on August 1. His coaching staff will include long-time trusted assistant David Bettoni and Hamidou Msaidi. Reports also suggest that renowned fitness coach Grégory Dupont will join the setup, alongside former France teammates Fabien Barthez and Bernard Diomède. The federation is also expected to consider female coaches for several roles within the national team structure.

The first competitive challenge of the Zinedine Zidane era will come on September 25, when France face Türkiye in the opening fixture of the UEFA Nations League. The group also features heavyweight rivals Italy and Belgium, promising a demanding start for the new coaching staff.
