After a brief delay following the conclusion of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, FIFA has officially revealed its Team of the Tournament, recognising the standout performers from this summer's global showpiece.

The selected XI features: Vozinha (Cape Verde); Pedro Porro (Spain), Lisandro Martínez (Argentina), Dayot Upamecano (France), Marc Cucurella (Spain); Rodri (Spain), Michael Olise (France), Jude Bellingham (England); Lionel Messi (Argentina), Erling Haaland (Norway) and Kylian Mbappé (France).

Despite Spain lifting the 2026 FIFA World Cup trophy, the champions do not dominate FIFA's best XI. Three Spanish players made the cut, matching the number of representatives from France. In total, the team includes players from six different nations, with Cape Verde providing the biggest surprise thanks to the inclusion of goalkeeper Vozinha.

FIFA also named Rodri, Spain's captain and midfield leader, as the tournament's Best Player, capping off an outstanding campaign that helped guide La Roja to World Cup glory.
