Official: Massimiliano Allegri Appointed New Napoli Head Coach

Napoli have officially confirmed the appointment of Massimiliano Allegri as the club's new head coach, with the experienced Italian signing a contract that will keep him at the Serie A side until 2029.
Allegri will earn an annual salary of €4.5 million as he begins a new chapter at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona.
The appointment marks a return to familiar surroundings for Massimiliano Allegri, who previously represented Napoli as a player during the 1997/98 season. This time, however, he returns to lead the team from the dugout following a disappointing campaign with AC Milan, where his side finished fifth in the Serie A standings.
Allegri succeeds Antonio Conte, who enjoyed a highly successful two-year spell in charge of Napoli. Under Conte, the club lifted the Serie A title before following it up with a runners-up finish, re-establishing themselves among Italy's elite.
