Switzerland Cruise Past Algeria to Reach the World Cup Last 16

Switzerland extended their impressive unbeaten run at the FIFA World Cup by defeating Algeria 2-0 in their Round of 16 encounter in Vancouver.
Breel Embolo gave Switzerland the perfect start, breaking the deadlock in the 10th minute with a composed finish. Moments after the restart, Dan Ndoye doubled the advantage, striking just one minute into the second half.
The victory means Switzerland remain unbeaten at the tournament, having carried strong momentum from the group stage, where they recorded two wins and one draw. They will now return to Vancouver on Tuesday for a quarter-final showdown against either Colombia or Ghana.
