Ronald Koeman Steps Down as Netherlands Head Coach

Ronald Koeman has officially resigned as head coach of the Netherlands national team following a heartbreaking exit from the FIFA World Cup.
Despite an impressive group-stage campaign, highlighted by a commanding victory over Sweden, the Oranje saw their World Cup ambitions come to a dramatic end in the Round of 32. Morocco emerged victorious after a tense penalty shootout, sealing one of the tournament's biggest upsets and bringing Koeman's second spell in charge to an abrupt conclusion.
In an official statement, Ronald Koeman said: "This was not an easy decision, considering the years of hard work and commitment shared with this group of players. I am deeply disappointed that our FIFA World Cup journey ended far earlier than we had hoped.
"However, the time has come for me to spend more time with my wife, my children and my grandchildren. At this stage of my life, it feels like the right and most natural decision."
