Como have secured one of their top transfer priorities ahead of their historic UEFA Champions League debut, completing the permanent signing of Argentina midfielder Nico Paz from Real Madrid.

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the Serie A club have activated the player's €60 million release clause to finalise the deal. While Nico Paz now becomes a permanent Como player, Real Madrid have retained a buy-back clause, giving the Spanish giants the option to re-sign the highly rated midfielder in the future.

Nico Paz enjoyed a breakthrough season in Italy, scoring 13 goals and providing eight assists in 40 appearances across all competitions.
