2026 FIFA World Cup: Luis Díaz Helps Colombia Defeat Uzbekistan

Uzbekistan briefly threatened to mount a comeback when they found an equaliser in the 60th minute, sparking hopes of an upset against a powerful Colombia side. For a few moments, the contest appeared to be swinging in a different direction.
But those hopes lasted only six minutes. The outstanding Luis Díaz responded with ruthless efficiency, restoring Colombia’s advantage. From that point on, the South Americans tightened their grip on the game and finished the job with another goal in stoppage time.
