Chelsea Legend Lampard Named Manager of the Year
Frank Lampard has been crowned Manager of the Year by the League Managers Association (LMA) after guiding Coventry City to a sensational Championship-winning campaign in the 2025/26 season.
The former Chelsea and England midfielder masterminded an impressive promotion run as the Sky Blues finished 11 points clear at the top of the EFL Championship, securing a long-awaited return to the Premier League. Under Lampard’s leadership, Coventry City combined attacking football with remarkable consistency, emerging as one of the standout stories of the English football season.
The achievement earned Lampard the highest recognition from his fellow managers, who voted him ahead of an elite shortlist featuring some of the biggest names in the game. Among the nominees were Mikel Arteta of Arsenal, Pep Guardiola of Manchester City, Unai Emery of Aston Villa, Andoni Iraola of Bournemouth, Keith Andrews of Brentford, Michael Skubala of Lincoln City, and Andy Woodman of Bromley.
