Bayern - Atalanta 4:1

Bayern Munich turned their UEFA Champions League quarter-final second leg into a mere formality, completing a ruthless demolition of Atalanta with a 4-1 victory at the Allianz Arena. Following their staggering 6-1 win in Italy, the German giants sealed a 10-2 aggregate triumph.

From the very first whistle in Munich, it was clear there would be no miracle comeback. Bayern dominated possession with authority, pinning Atalanta deep inside their own half. The opening goal, however, arrived via VAR intervention rather than open play. A strike from Harry Kane struck a defender’s hand, and after a review, the referee pointed to the spot.

The penalty drama briefly injected tension into an otherwise one-sided contest. Kane saw his initial effort saved, but Atalanta's celebrations were cut short as the goalkeeper was adjudged to have moved off his line prematurely. Given a second chance, the England captain made no mistake — effectively ending any lingering hopes of a comeback.

If the first half felt controlled and methodical, Bayern Munich shifted into a higher gear after the break. In a devastating 20-minute spell, Atalanta's defence simply collapsed. Kane grabbed his second of the night with a display of close control and composure, before Luis Diaz took centre stage.

The Colombian winger was electric — first providing an assist for Karl, and then adding his own name to the scoresheet in the 70th minute, delicately lifting the ball over the goalkeeper after a perfectly timed run.

Atalanta managed only a late consolation, as Lazar Samardzic capitalised on a rare lapse in concentration from Bayern during a set-piece. But it was little more than a footnote on a night dominated by the Bundesliga champions.
