Real Betis - Sevilla 2:2

The Seville derby once again lived up to its billing as one of Spanish football’s most unpredictable spectacles. At La Cartuja, Real Betis looked in complete control before Sevilla mounted a spirited second-half comeback to earn a dramatic 2–2 draw.

Betis dominated the opening 45 minutes and deservedly went into the break with what appeared to be a commanding advantage. Goals from Antony and Fidalgo put the hosts firmly in the driving seat.

Matías Almeyda’s side emerged transformed in the second half. Alexis sparked hope by pulling one back, injecting belief into the visitors and tension into the stands. Then, in the closing stages, academy graduate Isaac Romero delivered the decisive moment — firing home to secure a vital equaliser for Sevilla.
