Pogba left out of Monaco’s Champions League squad

Monaco will be without Paul Pogba for the remainder of their UEFA Champions League campaign. The injured midfielder, along with Mohammed Salisu and Takumi Minamino, has been excluded from the club’s UEFA squad list. They will be replaced by Simon Adingra, Wout Faes and Krépin Diatta.
Pogba is still recovering from a calf injury and is not expected to return in the near future — at least not in time to justify his inclusion on Monaco’s European list. On Wednesday, the club’s CEO Thiago Scuro confirmed that the rehabilitation process of the 32-year-old midfielder is ongoing, but no return date has been set.
As a result, the 2018 World Cup winner will not be available for Monaco’s Champions League fixtures. The Ligue 1 side are set to face Paris Saint-Germain in the play-off ties for a place in the round of 16 on 17 and 25 February. The same decision applies to Salisu and Minamino, both of whom have suffered anterior cruciate ligament injuries and are ruled out for the rest of the season.
In contrast, Monaco have registered their winter signings Wout Faes and Simon Adingra, as well as Africa Cup of Nations winner Krépin Diatta, for the knockout phase.
