Barcelona target UEFA Champions League final in 2029

Camp Nou could host the UEFA Champions League final in 2029. Barcelona have officially confirmed that they have submitted a bid to stage the showpiece event, with the backing of the Catalan government and the Barcelona city council.
The club are also in the running to host the 2030 FIFA World Cup final, competing with Madrid and Casablanca as part of the tournament that will be jointly organised by Spain, Portugal and Morocco.
Camp Nou is currently undergoing a major redevelopment, with construction work expected to be completed in 2028. Once finished, the stadium’s expanded capacity of 105,000 seats would make it an ideal venue for hosting major international sporting events.
