Lamine Yamal

Andrés Iniesta, a legend of Spanish football and former Barcelona midfielder, has spoken in glowing terms about the potential of Lamine Yamal, predicting a truly special future for the young star — albeit with one key condition.

“Lamine Yamal’s task is to keep growing year after year. He plays with incredible naturalness, and he has the chance to become one of the greatest players if he continues to progress. That is the main condition for his success in football — everything else he already has,” Iniesta said, as quoted by Barca Universal.

The 18-year-old is a product of Barcelona’s academy and is under contract with the club until 2031. At present, Yamal is considered the most valuable footballer in the world according to Transfermarkt, which values the Spanish international at €200 million.
