Spurs climb to fourth place in the Champions League group standings

Tottenham Hotspur secured a crucial three points with a 2-0 victory against Borussia Dortmund in a match that could shape the race for the Champions League knockout stages. The London side started aggressively, taking the lead in the 14th minute thanks to a clinical finish from Romero.

The game’s turning point came midway through the first half when Daniel Svensson received a straight red card, leaving Dortmund a man down for over an hour. Seizing the numerical advantage, the Spurs doubled their lead just before halftime, with Solanke finding the back of the net.

After the break, Tottenham switched to a more controlled approach, expertly managing possession and denying Dortmund any clear opportunities. In the closing stages, the Spurs calmly saw out the match, climbing to fourth place in the Champions League group standings and putting themselves firmly on track to secure a spot in the next round.
