Barcelona will kick off the Spanish Super Cup final against Real Madrid at 20:00 CET tonight, with the showpiece occasion taking place in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

Barcelona arrive in significantly stronger condition compared to their previous clash with Madrid. The Catalans will be without only Gavi, Thiago and Andreas Christensen, a far healthier situation than the one they faced in October.

In that earlier meeting, Barcelona were missing no fewer than five key figures: goalkeeper Joan García, attackers Raphinha, Dani Olmo and Robert Lewandowski, as well as head coach Hansi Flick, who was absent from the touchline.

The injury-hit Barcelona side went on to lose that first league encounter 3–1, but the defeat interrupted an impressive run. Prior to that setback, the Catalans had recorded four consecutive victories over Real Madrid, scoring 16 goals across that dominant stretch.
