Mbappé included in squad for Barcelona final?

Kylian Mbappé could feature against Barcelona in the Spanish Super Cup final later today. Reports from the Real Madrid camp suggest the forward is expected to be included in the matchday squad.
The France international missed the semi-final against Atlético Madrid due to knee discomfort but has travelled to Saudi Arabia. Real Madrid’s medical staff have worked to get their leading attacker fit in time for the decisive clash.
Despite his return to availability, Mbappé is not expected to start. According to the latest indications, Gonzalo is set to begin the final in his position against Barcelona.
“He is feeling much better. Initially, we did not want to take risks or rush his return. After today’s training session, we will have all the information we need to decide whether he is ready to start or should play a more limited role,” said Real Madrid head coach Xabi Alonso ahead of the final.
