Three more fixtures in the Copa del Rey Round of 32 were completed on Wednesday evening

Three more fixtures in the Copa del Rey Round of 32 were completed on Wednesday evening, with no major shocks on paper — unless one counts the impressive victory of Burgos CF, one of the promotion contenders from LaLiga Hypermotion, against top-flight side Getafe CF.

The visitors struck first midway through the opening half, with Álex Sancris breaking the deadlock in the 32nd minute. Getafe responded just before the interval, as Ballesteros calmly converted a penalty to restore parity. However, the second half belonged entirely to Burgos, with Córdoba stealing the spotlight by scoring twice and sealing a deserved 3–1 win.

Athletic Club also booked their place in the last 16, although they were forced to dig deep away from home. The Basque side edged past Ourense CF with a narrow 1–0 victory, courtesy of a decisive strike from Jauregizar in the first period of extra time.

Real Betis, meanwhile, opted for a more clinical approach and avoided unnecessary drama. The Andalusian outfit settled matters within 90 minutes, defeating Real Murcia 2–0. The breakthrough came via a composed penalty from Cucho Hernández, before an unfortunate own goal by Piñeiro put the tie beyond doubt.

With these results, Athletic Club, Real Betis and Burgos CF move confidently into the Round of 16.
