Fenerbahçe Hoping to Tempt Lewandowski Away from Barcelona

The future of Robert Lewandowski, whose contract with Barcelona expires this summer, is once again making headlines. According to specialist transfer outlet Fichajes, the Polish striker is increasingly unlikely to remain at the Catalan club—a situation Fenerbahçe are looking to capitalise on.
The Turkish side is reportedly preparing to open talks with the player’s representatives in the coming weeks to explore a potential transfer. This is unlikely to be the only proposal on the table; previous reports have linked Lewandowski with clubs from the Saudi Pro League—although such a move is believed to hold little appeal to the player himself.
Despite his age, Transfermarkt still values Lewandowski at around €10 million. However, it is worth noting that he would join any new club as a free agent.
As speculation intensifies, Fenerbahçe are hoping the prospect of becoming the face of their project will be enough to lure one of Europe’s most prolific goalscorers to Istanbul.
