Serhou Guirassy Withdraws from Guinea Squad Due to Injury Concerns
Borussia Dortmund striker Serhou Guirassy has been forced to leave the Guinea national team camp due to a recurring injury concern. The 29-year-old forward has returned to Germany for treatment, with his club hopeful he can recover in time for next week’s high-stakes Bundesliga clash against Bayern Munich.
Guirassy, one of the standout performers in the Bundesliga this season, remained on the bench during Guinea’s 2–1 win over Mozambique on Thursday. The decision came after lingering discomfort in his thigh — an issue that had already ruled him out of Dortmund’s recent 2–0 victory over Mainz, following a setback during the pre-match warm-up.
It now appears that the same problem resurfaced during international preparations, prompting a cautious approach from both the national team staff and Borussia Dortmund’s medical team.
