PSG Hit by Injury Crisis Ahead of UCL Clash with Barcelona
Paris Saint-Germain are facing a major injury crisis ahead of their blockbuster UEFA Champions League showdown against Barcelona on October 1. According to L’Équipe, two more key players — Vitinha and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia — picked up injuries during PSG’s recent Ligue 1 match against Auxerre and were forced off the pitch.
While the club has yet to issue an official prognosis, early reports suggest that both players are likely to miss the high-stakes meeting with Barça. Their absence would add to an already worrying list of unavailable stars, including Ousmane Dembélé, Marquinhos, Désiré Doué, and João Neves.
This leaves manager Luis Enrique with serious selection headaches — nearly half of his preferred starting XI could be unavailable for one of the biggest fixtures of the group stage.
It’s a bitter blow for PSG, especially considering that both Marquinhos and Kvaratskhelia were on the scoresheet in their dominant 4-0 win over Atalanta in Matchday 1.
